To avoid unnecessary arbitration issues, maximize profits and maintain a positive dealer rating it is important to be honest about the condition of your listing.
We highly recommend utilizing our Independent Certified Inspection Service (VIR™) * to ensure your vehicles will be accurately represented. *All Vehicle Inspections Reports (VIR™) can also be used in conjunction with AuctionLink™ automated listing service (post to OVE, Adesa and Smart Auction).
- DO
- Upload clear photos that show all angles of the interior and exterior (including engine compartment and trunk)
- Confirm vehicle options listed are 100% accurate.
- Take clear photos to show any damage and imperfections.
- Test drive all vehicles to ensure it is mechanically sound (engine, transmission, drivetrain and frame).
- Include a full description of the interior, exterior, and mechanical condition.
- Use an OBDII scanner and disclose any codes if possible (Included with VIR™ certified inspections).
- Include all special features and highlights (reasons like: rare color combination, low mileage, limited edition package etc.)
- Confirm the status of the title and select “Title Absent” if you need more than a day to produce title.
- Use a paint meter and disclose any non-factory paintwork if possible (Included with VIR™ certified inspections).
- Describe the vehicle with the intent to disclose any information as if you were going to be the buyer.
- DO NOT
- Do not overstate the condition of the vehicle.
- Do not try to mask any imperfections.
- Do not state options the vehicle does not include (i.e. navigation, sport package etc.)
